RESOURCE CENTRE ON MASCULINITY
Globally, this has been recognized that men are part and parcel of work to achieve gender equality so cannot be kept away when talked about approaches to achieve gender equality and justice. With this approach, for over a decades, Centre for Health and Social Justice has been engaged in dismantling masculinity and patriarchy through mobilizing and involving men and boys to realize them sense of gender equality and gender justice. Owing to over a decade old experience of working with men and boys, CHSJ has been able to develop pool of stories of change and resource on men and boys engagement and masculinity. The strength of work can be gauged from the fact that CHSJ's primarily focus areas, community action for health rights and men and gender equality, are equally recognized from the local to the global level. CHSJ has been acclaimed and known as pioneer organization for expertise in working with men and boys in India hence known as resource centre on men engage and masculinity.
 
In past, many national and international organizations, network and alliances working on gender and health and men’s involvement have approached CHSJ for proving technical inputs into their genesis of work and in capacity building of their partners for integrating innovative result oriented work strategies. CHSJ’s affiliations with national and international efforts reaffirms that CHSJ is pioneer on men engagement and gender justice work.
 
At the global level, CHSJ is founder member of Men Engage Global Alliance and leading members of South Asian Network to Address Masculinities (SANAM). In India, CHSJ has initiated Forum to Engage Men (FEM) and Men’s Action to Stop Violence Against Women (MASVAW).
 
It is tremendous experience and pioneering efforts on working with men & boys on gender justice efforts helped CHSJ host ‘Second Global Symposium on Men and Boys’ in Delhi in November, 2014.
