Over the last few years, development practitioners and scholars have come to recognize the need to engage with men and boys while working towards gender justice. This welcome shift requires theoretically clear and successfully applied knowledge on how to understand and work with men and boys at various levels. Through this pioneering online course, we aim to provide expert theoretical and practical knowledge about men and masculinities.
The course has been designed from the initial work of SANAM (South Asian Network to Address Masculinities) which was dedicated to developing a South Asia-focused curriculum on understanding gender-based violence as well as sexual and reproductive health and rights and their intersections with masculinities. By building on the work of SANAM, this online course aims to reach wider audience with the aim of creating a tangible impact. This online course provides a unique chance to improve knowledge base and practice on gender issues in the development sector particularly around men and boys. You will receive online lectures and classes designed by global experts working on masculinities, the guidance of an online Mentor and a Certificate of Participation at the end of the Training.
This course is designed for everyone who would like to learn about men and masculinities in South Asia. Activists, Trainers, Students, Development Practitioners, Resource Persons of any level, among many more, will benefit from the course which is especially designed to allow online learning at your own pace
