ON 28TH, OCTOBER, 2016, A ONE DAY EK SAATH UTTARAKHAND STATE CONSULTATION WAS HELD AT YMCA BHIMTAL, NAINITAL
The Ek Saath Campaign for Promoting Men’s Involvement for Changing Gender Social Norms is progressing across ten states in India. State level consultations have been planned and accordingly are being conducted in the states with the state network organization involving media persons, donors and other stakeholders in the consultations. The objectives behind holding such consultations are sharing of the campaign's rationale, strategies, expected outcomes, potential partnership, exploring social norms and developing steering committees for leading campaign activities in each state. THREE - DAY TRAINING OF ANIMATORS OF THREE DISTRICTS ON GENDER THEORY & GENDER DIMENSIONS AND FACILITATION SKILLS
Three days residential training programme for animators was organized from 15 to 17 October 2016 at Saptrishi Seva Bhawan, Ranchi. Thirty-one participants attended the programme from three districts namely Ranchi, Gumla and Bokaro. The main objective of this training was to build the knowledge and understanding on patriarchy, gender based violence and build the skill on group facilitation. In different sessions, participants were involved in various participatory and learning activities methods like group discussion and presentation, story writing, role-plays, film screening and collective discussion. |

FOUR DAYS TRAINING WITH ANIMATORS IN JHARKHAND
Four days residential training with Animators and group members have organised in 'Bharat Mata Kalayan Mandap' Sisai- Gumla from 19-22 August 16 with the support of partner organisations (Srijan Foundation and Chotanagpur Sanskritic Sangh). 17 Animators, 3 group member and 2 facilitator including total 22 peoples from Bero block (Ranchi district) and Sisai block (Gumla district) have participated. Mahendra Kumar and Jagdish Lal from CHSJ have facilitated the training under the 'Responsible Partner and Caring Father' program. The main objective of this training was to build knowledge and understanding about the program and different social issues. Download |
