New Delhi: June 08, 2011
Some of the world’s largest vaccine manufacturers from the US, UK and India have pledged to slash down prices of their life-saving vaccines. This will help the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunisation to vaccinate a lot more children across the developing world at a much lower cost besides bridging its yawning $3.8 billion funding gap for its commitments till 2015. In the lead up to its first pledging conference on June 13, India-based firms Serum Institute and Panacea Biotec committed to price reductions on their pentavalent vaccines.
