Madhya Pradesh plans to spread awareness about malnutrition — which affects 60 out of 100 children in the state — in co-operation with Unicef. The Woman and Child Development Department has chalked out a special action plan to check malnutrition in the state. According to the 2010 report of the National Rural Health Mission, which works under the central Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, malnutrition among children is the most prevalent in Madhya Pradesh.
