A Rajasthan district has decided to adopt the Kolhapur model to stop rising female foeticide. The Pali administration will install tracking devices at all sonography centres in the district to check killing of the girl child. Called ‘silent observer’, the device will trace pregnant women who abort the girl foetus. The devices will be installed at all 35 sonography centres in the district in May.
