In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) centres and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machines would now be required to obtain registration in Haryana under the Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PNDT) Act, the State government said on Tuesday. So far, only ultrasound machines and centres were required to register themselves but as IVF centres carry out artificial fertilisation, directions have been issued to them to register themselves with the government, Health Minister Rao Narender Singh said.
