In State-wide raids on 406 retail medical shops by Drugs Control Administration officials on Monday, 281 of them were found to be selling medicines in the absence of registered pharmacists or without bills. The State-wide inspection was launched after it came to the notice of Drugs Control Administration that the services of registered pharmacists were not available to the consumers while prescription medicines were being sold in retail pharmacies.
