Jammu and Kashmir has submitted a comprehensive Rs 2600 crore plan to the Centre for upgradation of healthcare facilities in the state, Health Minister Sham Lal Sharma said. He assured the House that opening of new and upgradation of existing health centres in remote and hilly areas would be given priority under the programme in the coming years. Besides, 400 health centers operating on internal arrangement presently would also be regularized, he said. Due consideration would be given to upgrade healthcare facilities in every constituency under National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), he added. Read more
