The state will get Rs 125.5 crore for improving the basic facilities of the government hospitals across the state. The fund has been sanctioned by the Centre under the national rural health programme (NRHM), said health minister V S Sivakumar. The fund will be utilized for setting up mother and baby blocks, casualty wings, cath labs, surgical wards and outpatient blocks. The fund was sanctioned following the proposals submitted by the state health minister to the union health minister Gulam Nabi Azad.
