Over 110 primary health centres will be established in the state this fiscal to take health care to the doorstep of more rural people, said Health Minister K.C. Veeramani. Inaugurating additional infrastructure facilities at Theni Government Medical College and Hospital near Andipatti on Thursday, he said Rs.35 lakhs will be sanctioned for constructing own building for each PHC. Health care and education were the yardsticks for measuring development of the state. Tamil Nadu was the only state that has highest number of government medical colleges in the country. Read more
