Health and Social Justice Research Award

As part of our efforts, CHSJ would like to undertake a systematic assessment of maternal health and reproductive services in selected districts of Madhya Pradesh. At the same time, we would like to build capacity of organizations and researchers based on Madhya Pradesh in conducting rapid assessments of health services. Previously, CHSJ has hosted similar fellowships across India, which has generated simple but important, actionable research, with has assisted in advocacy. In this light, CHSJ has launched a short fellowship program for research on maternal health in the state.
As part of the fellowship, participants received:
  1. Capacity building on research methodology, data analysis and writing
  2. Opportunity to conduct research on a maternal health issue in a district of their choice
  3. Mentorship to design and implement the research project with periodic feedback from experts
  4. Platform to disseminate the evidence generated to relevant government authorities through a seminar at the culmination at the fellowship
  5. A stipend to cover costs during the 6 month period of fellowship.
