Naya Mard ki Naee Soch- Declining Sex Ratio

The Campaign on Involving Men and Boys to Address Declining Sex ratio was aimed at starting a discussion among men, especially among youth and men about the importance of gender equality, decreasing number of girls and role of patriarchy and masculinity behind the problem of declining sex ratio.
This campaign called Naye Mard Ki Nayee Soch (New Men Think Differently), developed communication messages aimed at new gender equitable behaviour among men and a community based campaign was implemented across 350 villages and 20 districts in the states of UP, Rajasthan and Orissa, involving youth, teachers and media persons. Main Project Activities: The meetings at district, block level were held. Paintings and essay writing were conducted at college, schools level to sensitize students and people at large to work on curbing problem of declining sex ratio. Building the capacities for peer monitoring and also involving non- NGO stakeholders was done as strategy to put a further check on the disturbing trends. Project Partners:
