ENABLING MEN TO BE RESPONSIBLE PARTNERS AND CARING FATHERS IN DISTRICTS OF JHARKHAND Working with Men and Boys for Gender Equality and Securing Child Rights

With the support of Oak foundation and local partner organizations of FEM Jharkhand, CHSJ has started working in Jharkhand towards mobilization of men and boys to promote and support the development of new models of men as responsible partners and caring fathers, which address caring for children and women with a particular focus on daughters and wives through gender equality and child rights perspective
Project Objectives: Increase men involvement in caring work and gender equality through creating awareness in the community on child rights and responsibility of father in caring in 3 districts 10 villages in each district.
Support and strengthen state level networks of practitioners in two states (Jharkhand and West Bengal) to enable them to incorporate work with men for gender equality into their existing interventions for women's and child rights. Promote alliance building and advocacy for involving men to promote gender equality and secure child rights Project Partners: The implementing partners for the project are Chotanagpur Sanskritik Sangh (CCS) in Gumla, Srijan Foundation in Ranchi and Sahayogini in Bokaro. The partner organisations are also part of FEM Jharkhand, which is co-ordinated by Society for Participatory Action Research and Knowledge (SPARK). Project Area: 30 villages, 10 villages each in the three districts of Ranchi (Bero Block), Gumla (Sisai Block) and Bokaro (Kasmar Block). Project Resources
