Mohd. Ishaq
Ishaq is a resident of Kotma block in Anuppur District. He has completed his graduation and is currently pursuing Masters in Social Work. Ishaq has been working with a grassroots organization Holistic Action for Rural Development (HARD) for the past four years on health and livelihood issues. At present, he is working with the tribal community on Lac production. As part of his research, he undertook a study to ‘Understand the causal factors for anemia in pregnant women’ in Kotma Block of Anuppur District. |
Pooja Kushwah
Pooja is a resident of Indore and currently working with Satykaam Jan Kalyan Samiti (SJKS) in Chhindwara. Since her school days she has had an active interest in Social service and therefore chose to pursue Masters in Social Work. During her course of study she worked on Solid Waste Management with Indore Municipal Corporation and A to Z company. She also worked on women and children living in slums with the organization named Urban Health Resource Centre. She joined SJKS in the year 2015 and since then she is working with Dalits and Tribals on health rights, education, livelihood, and gender justice. Her research was focused on ‘Access to Maternal Health Services amongst Dalit Women’ in 6 villages of Mohkhed Block in Chhindwara district’. Read article |
Seema Lodhi
She is a resident of Jahangirpura village in Sehore District, Madhya Pradesh and has been involved in community based work since 2007. She has worked on establishing Self-help groups for various projects such as safe drinking water, child rights and watershed development. In the year 2014-15, she worked with Aangan trust on the issue of child rights. Thereafter, she worked with Sangini Gender Resource Centre on Women Empowerment, Adolescent health and domestic labor union. In her Health and Social Justice Award study, she did a study on ‘Social norms and practices related to menstruation affecting adolescent health ’ in Sehore District.' Read article |
