Capacity Building for Health Rights Advocacy
Centre for Health and Social Justice (CHSJ) is undertaking a programme on capacity building of the civil society organisations (CSOs) on social inclusion and health entitlements in collaboration with Poorest Areas Civil Society (PACS). In this programme CHSJ’s focus is to support PACS and to ensure that a cadre of strong mentors and resource persons are established in the seven states of Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal and impart training workshops to the 42 PACS CSOs in these seven states.
Two day thematic trainings are scheduled in the four clusters- (1) West Bengal – Orissa (2) Madhya Pradesh – Chhattisgarh (3) Bihar – Jharkhand and (4) Uttar Pradesh. The goal of the capacity building process is to facilitate building health advocacy for the health rights of the socially excluded communities with a focus on primary health care. The overall focus of the thematic training will be to build perspectives of right to health care in the context of health and health care in various states
